The story
Every flagship gin deserves a signature cocktail — one that doesn't try to bury the spirit in competing flavours but builds a frame that lets the gin's character lean outward. Juliet Gin's lemon and cherry notes are the brief for this drink's construction. The name nods gently to Shakespeare's most persistent botanist — Juliet's balcony scene is, among other things, about a girl surrounded by fragrance. This drink takes those two defining flavour pillars of the gin and plays them off each other: fresh lemon juice on one side, a Luxardo cherry liqueur on the other, with a light egg white foam to carry the aromas upward. Jeffrey Morgenthaler would approve of the balance. Dale DeGroff would appreciate the simplicity.
Tasting note
Pale champagne-yellow with a luminous foam cap. The cherry notes from Juliet Gin come forward immediately, greeted by maraschino's sweet almond and lemon's clean brightness. This is a gin drink that explains itself with the first sip.
